
USING THE OVEN
Switching on and off
To switch the oven on and off turn the function control
knob
and the temperature control knob to the
required positions.
The function control knob
can be turned in either
direction.
On switching on turn the temperature control knob
to the right to the temperature required and on
switching off turn it to the left, position
.
Preheating
Preheating the oven is unnecessary when preparing
baked foods or roasts. Oven preheating is
recommended, however, for sponges and dishes with
shorter cooking times (e.g. biscuits). Consult the
cooking and baking time tables.
Selecting the temperature for circulating air
cooking
The temperatures required are generally between 20
o
C
and 40
o
C lower than when cooking with natural
convection (heat only from above and below).

Energy saving
You can utilise residual heat by setting the control knob
to “0” for approximately 5 or 10 minutes to finish
nearly all types of cooking. You can also cook side
dishes, such as potatoes, rice or vegetables, together
with the meat course.
